Pet memorial portraits
A custom portrait made from a favorite photo, to keep a much-loved dog or cat on the wall. You see it before you pay, so you can be sure it looks like them.
Canvas from $54.95, US shipping included.
From the photos you already have
You cannot take a new picture, so the choice of photo matters more than usual. Look for one where the face is sharp, the eyes are visible and the light is kind. It does not need to be recent or posed: a phone photo from an ordinary afternoon is often the truest.
If your best photo is a print, lay it flat near a window and photograph it straight on, without flash, so there is no glare. A scan works too.
Choosing a title
A royal portrait is a gentle kind of tribute: it remembers them as the character they were. The General and The Duchess are the calmest of the six, with dark, quiet backgrounds. The Princess is the lightest. If you are unsure, try two: previews are free.
What we can and cannot do
- We work from one photo, so the portrait shows them as that photo does: the same markings, the same eyes.
- We cannot repair a photo that is very blurred or very small. The uploader tells you at once if a photo is under 400 pixels.
- Each portrait shows one pet.
- Nothing is charged until you have seen the portrait and chosen to order it.

Questions
Can I use an old photo of a pet who has passed away?
Yes. Any photo works as long as the face is reasonably sharp and at least 400 pixels on its shorter side. If you only have a printed photo, photograph it flat in daylight, without glare.
The only photo I have includes me or another pet. Will it work?
It works best when the photo shows one animal. Crop the photo to your pet’s head and shoulders before you upload it; any phone can do that in its photo editor.
Can I add a name or dates to the canvas?
No. The canvas carries the portrait only. The name you type appears on the label beside your preview, not on the print.
What if I don’t like the preview?
Then don’t order. Try another title or another photo instead. Previews are free, with a daily limit per visitor.
Which size should I choose?
The 8 × 10 in canvas suits a shelf or a desk. The 11 × 14 in reads well from across a room and is the one we would pick. The 16 × 20 in is the statement piece, for the wall above a mantel or a console.
How long does delivery take?
Printing takes 2 to 3 business days, and US delivery 1 to 5 business days after that. You get a tracking link by email when your canvas ships. Digital files are ready to download right after payment.
